Our Story

Our Story

It probably takes about an hour. Sometimes less. My family and I will be driving around, happily exploring a New England town, and I inevitably squeal “I love it here!! Maybe we should buy a vacation property and rent it out!!”

Every. Single. Town.

I can’t help myself. I love a quick getaway and the change of scenery and feeling of lightness that it brings. I love our proximity to the lakes, the mountains, the ocean, and the limitless opportunities for adventure not far from our home north of Boston.

And I love scouring real estate listings, sneaking a peek into homes, and dreaming up the new design and decor I would add to make the place special. So, I start scrolling the real estate apps on my phone. “Ooooh! Look at this one, it has so much potential!,” I insist.

Inevitably, I get a few chuckles from my husband and three kids, and sometimes an accompanying eye-roll now that they are getting a little tween-y. “Mom! You always say that.” “Mom loves everywhere!,” they giggle.

And they're right! Each area, each town, each property has a story to tell. And letting a property’s personality shine, to let small vignettes come through in photos and welcome guests as they explore your what your space has to offer, creates interest and excitement in your property.

Right now we are loving our lakefront vacation home in the White Mountains of New Hampshire... we own it with friends, get to stay there for family ski and lake trips, and get to share it with the world as a short-term rental that we are so proud of!

So while I don’t yet own a vacation rental in each of the picturesque towns I visit (yet! not yet!), I do get to live out my rental property dreams through our own lakefront New England vacation rental, and through Lucky Blue by helping STR owners coordinate stylish spaces for their guests that help them maximize their listing potential.

Good stuff!
